AI Educator Conference

On 12th February, we hosted the Online AI Educators Conference, bringing together forward-thinking teachers, senior leaders, and industry to discuss how we can align the curriculum with real-world industry demands.

Key Takeaways:

Soft Skills vs Software: While tech literacy is important, the "human" element is irreplaceable. Our speakers emphasised that soft skills like critical thinking and communication are what allow professionals to truly thrive alongside AI.

AI in Action: We got a behind-the-scenes look at how global and local brands are deploying LLMs to build their systems and streamline workflows so they can focus on creativity and idea generation.

Debunking Myths: We tackled common misconceptions held by students regarding AI's impact on jobs and the specific skills needed to build a career in an AI-driven economy.

AI as a Tool: Young people need to be given the opportunity to play with AI, make mistakes, and receive guidance from mentors along the way.

This event wouldn't have been possible without the incredible insights from our speakers. Thank you for helping us prepare and empower the next generation: LADbible Group, OLIVER Agency, Starbots Creative, University of Staffordshire, GivEducation, Carse and Waterman Productions, and Camden Learning

It is through collaboration like this—charity, education, and industry working together—that we ensure no student is left behind in the wake of the AI revolution.
